A bridge back to your everyday smile

What exactly is a dental bridge?
A bridge is a fixed replacement for one or more missing teeth. It’s anchored to the natural teeth either side of the gap and holds a custom-made tooth firmly in place β no removing it at night, no slipping when you eat.
The natural teeth either side of the gap are gently reshaped to support the bridge.
A replacement tooth is made to match the size, shape and colour of your smile.
The bridge is bonded securely in place for a natural, comfortable bite.
Weighing your options
Is a bridge the right fit?
Dental bridges are usually fixed in place, with no extra teeth removed. Made to feel and look like your natural teeth.
Your treatment journey
A dental bridge treatment is usually completed in a couple of visits. Here is the step by step process.
We examine the gap, discuss your options and plan the right bridge for your bite.
Supporting teeth are gently shaped and precise impressions are taken.
A temporary bridge protects the area while your custom bridge is crafted.
Your finished bridge is fitted, checked for comfort, and reviewed at a follow-up.

Frequent Questions
Most bridges are completed over two to three visits: assessment, fitting a temporary bridge, then bonding the permanent one once itβs crafted.
We numb the area before preparing supporting teeth, so the process is generally comfortable. Some mild sensitivity afterwards is normal and settles quickly.
Brush as usual and use a bridge floss or interdental brush underneath it daily to keep the area clean and healthy.
It depends on the condition of neighbouring teeth, bone density and your preferences. We’ll talk through the best option at your consultation.
